FERI-TB is a Virginia- and Maryland-based nonprofit eliminating the structural barriers that keep people from completing tuberculosis treatment — housing instability, transportation, employment, stigma, and fragmented care.
TB treatment requires 6 to 9 months of uninterrupted therapy. For patients navigating housing instability, unstable employment, transportation gaps, or language barriers, that timeline is often the point where treatment breaks down — not because of the disease, but because of the conditions around it.
FERI-TB bridges clinical care with the social and environmental supports that make recovery possible. We work alongside hospitals, health departments, and community partners to make sure the patients most at risk of falling through the system don't.
One-on-one support for high-risk patients across the full arc of treatment — appointments, medication, benefits, housing referrals, and continuity of care.
