Partnerships

Connect clinical care with community support.

FERI-TB welcomes conversations with health departments, hospitals, community organizations, funders, and other nonprofits about practical barriers around TB care in Virginia and Maryland.

Non-clinical public health

Connect with FERI-TB for community support, education, and referral partnerships.

A clear role alongside clinical care

A treatment plan can be clinically appropriate while the conditions around it remain difficult. Housing uncertainty, food needs, a difficult journey, language barriers, and disconnected referrals can all call for coordination outside the medical encounter. FERI-TB’s role is community navigation, education, and practical resource connections.

Healthcare providers and health departments retain responsibility for diagnosis, treatment, medical monitoring, and clinical records. Our approach complements that work by attending to the person’s priorities and following up on resource connections. It does not transfer clinical responsibilities to FERI-TB.

Start with a partnership conversation

Contact info@feritb.com with your organization’s name, the city or county involved, and a general description of the coordination need. The first inquiry should not include patient details. A short conversation can clarify whether the organizations’ roles, geography, resources, and responsibilities fit together.

A useful pathway identifies a contact at each organization, what a referral is requesting, how consent will be handled, and what follow-up is expected. Sharing information should be limited to what is appropriate for the agreed purpose.

  • Define the population, geographic coverage, and practical support being discussed.
  • Clarify referral criteria, contact points, capacity, and the receiving organization’s requirements.
  • Agree on consent, secure communication, and the minimum information necessary.
  • Identify who confirms receipt and follows up on unresolved needs.
  • Choose aggregate measures that distinguish referrals, completed connections, and clinical outcomes.

Ways organizations can contribute

Community organizations can discuss resource pathways, language access, education, or local relationships. Healthcare partners can help clarify clinical and non-clinical responsibilities. Funders and sponsors can discuss navigation, education, eligible practical assistance, and the operations needed to coordinate and oversee the work.

A sponsorship conversation should identify the purpose of the support, a realistic budget, and reporting expectations. Donor support does not purchase a guaranteed treatment result. FERI-TB’s financial and accountability pages describe the organization’s status, stewardship priorities, and measurement approach.

Support alongside clinical care.

FERI-TB is a non-clinical public health organization. Diagnosis, prescribing, treatment, and medical monitoring remain with healthcare providers and health departments.
